A young black bear wandered into town last week and caused quite a sensation. As people gathered to get a glimpse of the bear, it climbed a tree near a citizen’s house. The police were called, as well as rangers from the Department of Natural Resources. Once the bear came down from the tree, it was shot with a tranquilizer dart and relocated to a suitable habitat.
